This is what I received from the department in charge of the No-Sew Blankets.
On behalf of the Ace Foundation and the patients at Ann &
Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, I’d like to thank you for
volunteering your time to make a no sew fleece blanket. Because of the generosity
given by you and your fellow team members, we surpassed our goal of 288 and
delivered 302 blankets! While a blanket may seem small, it makes a big
difference to the kids, providing them with a sense of happiness and comfort
while receiving treatment. You can see the excitement on Leah
and Ramir’s faces (pictured below) after they hand-picked their new favorite
blanket. Without your help, this would not be possible.
I got great feedback from the team that went to the hospital that once again the blankets were a huge hit for the kids.
They play Blanket Bingo with the children as as they win they are allowed to come up and select the blanket that they want until they are all gone.
